Trio Est (Fanny Söderström, piano, Abel Puustinen, violin, Anna Westerlund, cello) wins the third prize in international Ilmari Hannikainen piano chamber music competition 2020! During the competition they played L. van Beethoven: Piano trio B flat major op.11, M. Ravel: Trio a minor, Lotta Wennäkoski: Päärme and Martinu: Triple Concerto with Jyväskylä Sinfonia and Ville Matvejeff.

Fanny Söderström top 6 in Brahms Piano Competition 2019

Fanny Söderström has been chosen among the top 6 pianists in the international Brahms Piano Competition. The competition was held in the beginning of October 2019 in Detmold, Germany. In Söderström’s program besides Johannes Brahms was music from Alban Berg, Henri Dutilleux, Ludwig van Beethoven, G.F. Händel and Clara Schumann.

Award in Helmi Vesa Competition

Fanny Söderström has been awarded in the Helmi Vesa Piano Competition. Söderström’s programme included Alexander Scriabin, Henri Dutilleux and Clara Schumann. Helmi Vesa Competition has been arranged since 1985.

2nd prize at Helsinki Lied Competition

Soprano Iida Antola and pianist Fanny Söderström won 2nd prize at the Helsinki Lied competition on 28/10/2018. There were three rounds altogether, and the duo performed music by Saariaho, Wolf, Messiaen, Ullman, Brahms and Schubert.
